RESEARCH INTERESTS
Research fields
PROTECTED AREAS MANAGEMENT

Objective: To develop research actions related to the management of protected areas focusing on the identification of priority areas for biodiversity conservation, in the study of social and environmental conflicts resulting from the creation of these protected spaces and the assessment of their effective management in ensuring the conservation and biodiversity of protected areas.
GEOTECHNOLOGY APPLIED TO SPATIAL INFORMATION ANALYSIS

Objective: To analyze and understand, from the geographical perspective, the role of geotechnologies as an instrument of analysis and mapping of the political and social dimensions on the territory. Thus, contributing to the debate on the challenges and possibilities that geotechnologies offer in conducting the understanding of spatial representations of political and social action.
GEOTECHNOLOGIES APPLIED TO BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION

Objective: To understand how landscape structural aspects and spatial ecology can contribute to the organisms distribution in natural, rural and urban environments on multiple scales.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Research fields
GEOENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS AND DYNAMICS

Objective: To develop theoretical and methodological studies applied to the characterization and analysis of the terrestrial environment dynamics, considering "especially" the elements of the abiotic environment.
PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT OF SUSTAINABLE URBAN SPACES

Objective: To analyze and understand the environmental functions of urban spaces, in order to promote a debate on plans, projects and policies of territorial planning, as well as the use, occupation, and modification of urbanized territories. In order to contribute to the definition of a model of sustainable socioeconomic, cultural and environmental development and thus propose actions to improve the population living and conditions.
GEOTECHNOLOGIES AND MODELS IN WATERSHED MANAGEMENT

Objective: To research ecological and socioeconomic aspects related to watersheds in urban and rural areas, as a subsidy for environmental planning and management.
